OLD-TIME DANCE / V The four-weekly old-time dances' arranged by the committee of the West Lyttelton School In aid of the school fundi continue to attract large numbers of dancers, and there was again a big attendance at the Excelsior Hall on Saturday night, when another dance was held. Bright dance music was provided by Fred Fox’s band, and extras were played by Mrs D. Porteour A Dampier Monte Carlo was won by Mr N. Goodmanson and Mrs C. Gilmore, and a Monte Carlo valetta by Mr .A. Eight and Mrs D. Harvey. Golf An eclectic match played at Diamond Harbour yesterday was-won by R. Wilson with a net score of 32. The Lyttelton Golf Club held medal matches at Charteris Bay yesterday. The senior match was won by H. Derbidge with a score of 87—18—69. L. Coombes won the junior match with a score of 105 —30—75. A Ladies’ Golf Union medal match played at Charteris Bay yesterday was won by Mrs R. Candy, with a net score of 80; Mrs H. G. Banfleld, with a net score of 83, was the runner-up.
