MORE DRASTIC PUNISHMENT DESIRED (PBBSS ASSOCIATION TBLEOBAM.) ’ GISBORNE. May 1. More drastic penalties lor sheep stealing were advocated at a meeting of the'Gisborne Justices of the Peace Association, last evening, one.member stating that he had lost 800 head in the last year. The committee was instructed to take the question up with the Minister for Justice (the Hon. H, G. R. Mason), in an attempt to have some further steps taken to reduce the evil
