FOUR BURGLARIES
* WANGANUI PREMISES ENTERED (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WANGANUI, April 30. Four burglaries occurred last evening in the Aramoho area, three on Somme parade and one at a Wanagnui East service station, from which about £1 5s in cash was stolen, also a tyre lever and a hammer. The latter were found in the Duchesse Theatre, where entrance was made to a small Ipck-up shop, from which sweets were stolen. The burglar had also used some implement on the theatre safe, but got no cash. The shop of Mr J. Faith, grocer, was also broken into, and a cheque for £ll and cash were stolen. At Dunlop's service station the burglar secured only some cigarettes, all the cash having been removed before closing time. The police this morning arrested a young man suspected of the burglaries. It is understood that a quantity of the stolen property had been recovered.
