OUItUHIA BRANCH The Ouruhia branch of the Women's Division of the New Zealand Farmers' Union held its annual meeting this week. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £3. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mrs W. P. Spencer; vicepresident, Mrs H. Marsh: secretary and treasurer. Mrs H. Dawber; housekeeper scheme, Mrs Fleming. Arrangements were made for Miss Millicent Jennings to entertain members and friends at the May meeting, arid for the second birthday party to be held in May. April competitions resulted:—Vase of flowers, Miss J. Dunlop; bloom, Mrs Marsh; cushion, Mrs Marsh. HA WARDEN BRANCH The annual meeting of the Hawarden branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union was held in the Plunket room, with Mrs J. D. Sprosen presiding. The annual report and bal-ance-sheet were read and adopted, the balance-sheet showing a very satisfactory credit balance. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs J. D. Sprosen; vicppresidents, Mrs Croft and Mrs F. Dalzell; secretary and treasurer, Mrs A. H. Dalzell; committee, Dr. Wood, Mesdames A. Cowie, D. Scott, Pickering, and W. L. Wright; advisory members, Mrs J. D. Sprosen and Mrs A. H. Dalzell. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Rydings for auditing the balancesheet. Several new members were welcomed.
