DESIRE TO ACQUIRE AREA OF LAND The desire of the Southbridge District High School Committee to acquire an area of two acres of land at approximately £BO an acre alongside the school site was mentioned in a letter to the Minister for Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) by Mr H. E. Herring, M.P. Mr Herring has been advised by the Minister that so far the Canterbury Education Board, had made no representations to the department, and in order that the proposal might receive consideration, he had requested that a report should be obtained from the Education Board. When this came to hand the matter would be considered further, and he would advise Mr Herring. -
