RUGBY LEAGUE
AUSTRALIAN TEAM MAY yiSIT N.Z. POSSIBLE RETURN BY PANAMA FROM AUSTRALIA (UNITED FBES3 ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT.) SYDNEY. April 30. There is still a possibility that the Australian touring League team will play in New Zealand. This might be achieved if the team sailed for England via Panama. It is contended that if the New Zealand proposal were accepted, the team would leave Sydney a few days later than if it were travelling via Suez, and the revenue from the tour would be increased. The Rugby League secretary, Mr Miller, said last week that there was no chance of the touring League team visiting Auckland for matches.
