OBITUARY

MRS M. ROBSON The death occurred recently at her home, "Dtjansburn," Balgownie, Wanganui, of Mrs Marion Robson, an old and . respected resident of Wanganui. Mrs ' Robson, who was the wife of Mr John Robson, was a native of Ayrshire, and went to Otago with her husband and infant son in 1879. After a few years' residence in Dunedin and at Waipukurau, the family moved to Wanganui. There, as formerly, Mrs Robson made many friends. Her long life was spent in kindly deeds. She is survived by her husband and a family of three daughters Mesdames M. Chisholm (Auckland), E. Emanuel and C. G. Webster (Wanganui) —and four sons, Messrs J. T. Robson, of Christen urch. and formerly of Wairoa, Mr Albert Robson (New Plymouth), Mr Austen Robson (Nelson), and Mr Roderick Robson (Wanganui). NURSE H. HAIG The death occurred at Christchurch this week of Nurse H. Haig at the age of 70. Nurse Haig, who was well known throughout the Geraldine district, was a daughter of Mr and Mrs John Haig, of Yackandandah, Victoria, Australia. She was trained at Victoria Hospital, Launceston, Tasmania, and came to New Zealand in 1907. She Dpened a private hospital at Geraldine, where she carried on a maternity and general hospital until 1923, when she gave it up because of illness. Recently she had lived in Christchurch.
