HONOUR FOR CITY DOCTOR
HUNTERIAN MEDAL WON
FIRST TIME IN AUSTRALIA OR NEW ZEALAND
[THE PRESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, February 14. When the conference of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association is held at Wellington this month the Hunterian medal will be presented to Dr. F. O. Bennett, of Christchurch. The medal is awarded annually for an essay on a medical subject, and this is the first time it has been won by a doctor in Australia or Ne w Zealand. The conference
DR. F. O. BENNETT will be held under the presidency of Dr. T. D. M. Stout, of Wellington, in the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum building, the opening day being February 23.< Probably about 200 doctors and their wives from all parts of the Dominion will come to Wellington for the conference. The delegate from England is Sir Edmund Spriggs. The conference, which will last the rest of the week, is to be opened by his Excellency the Governor-Genesral, Lord Galway, and on the first night there will be a reception by the Mayor (Mr T. C. A. Hislop). At this function. Dr. Stout will deliver his presidential address, and there will also be addresses by the Mayor and the Minister for Health (the Hon. P. Fraser).
