COUNTERING BRITISH THREAT
o JAPANESE SHIPOWNERS ALARMED (Received February 14, 8.20 p.m.) TOKYO, February 13. The Japanese Shipowners' Association, alarmed by the British threat to Japanese shipping interests in British Empire trade routes, held a meeting in Tokyo and discussed various counter-measures. It is reported that tthe Nippon Yusen Kaisha line in particular feels that its position is menaced.
