GAY CHUMS DO OUTSTANDING WORK FOR MISSION The Gay Chums, Woodend, is a club that has done outstanding work for . “The Press Ship” Christmas Mission. In addition to this the Gay Chums have "adopted” two small girls from an orphanage. They provide treats for them, and give them Christmas and birthday-presents. The combined birthday party that was held for the two during the year was something to be remembered. The leader, Valerie Barker, A.P.S., L.8.H., A.8.H., M.G., sends in the following report:— “The Gay Chums brought their Greatest improvement Elva work for the year to a close on Browne. Saturday, December 5, 193 G. On Attendance—Beryl Green, this day we made and covered 30 The silver cup for most skeins of sweet baskets to bo filled with wool knitted during the year was sweets for the orphanage. While won by Betty Hart, who knitted the girls were making baskets, the 6G~ skeins.. The runner-up was grown-ups examined the box of Valerie Barker, with 55.
