MAGIC ARITHMETIC
The person performing this trick has paper and pencil In hand. Without letting anyone see what the
number is, he writes on his paper and folds it. (The number he writes is 1089.) He then tells the person to choose ANY number he wishes of three different figures (for example take 265). Reverse the number (562). Subtract the smaller number from the larger 562 265 and the answer remains 297. Reverse this answer, and it will be 792. Add this number to the number as it was before it was reversed, and you.have 792
1089. The magic person opens his paper, and 1089 is the number written on the
paper. The catch in this trick is, that the answer will always be the same, 1030. if any number given is three different figures.
