FIRE IN TIMBER MILL
EARLY MORNING OUTBREAK
Fire did considerable damage to a block of wood and iron buildings used as a timber mill, owned and occupied by Messrs F. H. and C. R. Dodge, builders and coal and firewood merchants, at 200 Fitzgerald avenue, early yesterday morning. The Central Fire Brigade received a call at 2.35 a.m., when the flames had a strong hold. _ The fire began near an electric planing machine and spread to other portions of the block of three small buildings. The stock and plant also suffered considerable damage. The buildings were insured collectively for £SOO and the stock and plant for £375 with the Southern Union Insurance Company, Ltd.
