ASSISTANCE FOR YOUNG FARMERS

DECISION OF WAIMATE UNION A unanimous decision to assist two South Canterbury members of the Young Farmers' Club who recentlywon scolarships at Lincoln College, was reached at yesterday's meeting of the committee of the Waimate branch of the Farmers' Union. • Mr G. W. Clelland, who presided, said that £SO would be needed, £25 to complete a year's training for the winning entrant, Mr J. W. Anstey, and £25 to give half a year's training to Mr D. Gregan. who was second. The Waimate branch's share would be £ls. It was decided to give £5 from the branch's fund and to subscribe the rest among the members.
