RESTRICTION ON ENTRY OF ALIENS
SOUTH AFRICAN MEASURE NOT AIMED AT JEWS (Received January 14, 5.5 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, January 13. In moving the second reading of the Aliens Bill in the Union House Assembly, the Minister for the Interior (Mr Stuttaford) said: "Steps .must be taken to- prevent unwanted citizens who are disapproved of by various dictators from upsetting the balance of our small 2,000,000 European population." He denied that the bill was aimed at Jews.
