LESS GOLD IMPORTED INTO U.S.
BIG RISE IN EXPORTS LAST YEAR (Received January 14 9.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON, January 13. The Department of Commerce announced that gold imports in 1936 totalled 1,144,000,000 dollars, compared with 1,740,000,000 dollars in the previous year. Exports totalled 26,534,000 dollars, compared with 1,969,000 dollars in 1935.
