REGULATIONS FOR LOANS ISSUED (I'EESS ASSOCIATION TJJLEGiIAM.) WELLINGTON, January 14. In the native housing regulations issued to-day, power is given to Maori Land Boards to enquire into applications for advances and to report to the Board of Native Affairs. In the case of an advance for the erection of a dwelling, plans and specifications shall be such as the board approves and if the borrower desires the adoption of other plans he shall submit them to the board, which may reject or approve of them. No money advanced is to be paid to the applicant, but all is to be expended as applied by the board.
