STATE COACH FOR THE CORONATION RENOVATIONS TO TAKE SEVEN WEEKS (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) RUGBY, January 12. The regilding and renovating of the 176-years-old State coach in which the King and Queen will drive to Westminster Abbey for the Coronation are being undertaken. The work will take seven weeks to complete. KING’S HORSE WINS LONDON, January 12. King George had his first win on the turf when his horse Marconi, the favourite, won the Smethwick Handicap Steeplechase at Birmingham, beating the Grand National favourite. Marconi, who has now raced in the colours of three Kings, was well to the rear a mile from home, but he then came through amid loud cheering.
