INFLUENZA DEATH ROLL MOUNTS
768 VICTIMS IN ’ENGLAND LAST WEEK PUBLIC WARNED TO MAINTAIN PRECAUTIONS (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.) (Received January 13, 9.15 p.m.) January 13. Deaths from influenza throughout England numbered 768 last week, compared with 325 in the previous week. According to a British Official Wireless message, a statement issued by the. Ministry for Health on the epidemic warns the public to continue the precautions which experience has shown to be desirable, as it is too early yet to say whether the epidemic has reached its peak. The 768 deaths in the week ended January 9 occurred in 122 great towns with a population reaching nearly 21,000,000.
