LIMIT ON NUMBER OF CLUBS SUGGESTION OPPOSED BY PROFESSIONALS (united phess ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (Received January 13, 5.5 p.m.) • LONDON, January 12. | Opposition to the proposal to limit the number of golf clubs carried in competitions was expressed by the Professional Golfers’ Association in a letter to the Royal and Ancient Club. “It 'is unnecessary and undesirable to restrict the game in the suggested manner, which would interfere with the freedom of golfers in the use of equipment,” says the letter.
