Government New Zealand Government 4 per cent. Bonds due 1949 changed hands at £ 104. North Canterbury Hospital Board 4i per cent, debentures due 1941 were dealt in at £lO2 10s, and Booth, Macdonald 5 per cent., 1937, at £72. National Bank of Australasia (£5 paid) had business at £7 11s. Bank of New Zealand changed hands at 41s 3d and 41s, market closing 40s 9d buyers, 41s 2d sellers. Buyers of Bank of New South Wales raised their bids to £35 10s without attracting sellers. Union Bank of Australasia (cum dividend) were firmer at £lO 6s. Goldsbrough, Morts had dealings at 37s 9d and 37s 10d, and these were buyers’ and sellers’ closing quotations respectively.
