A ROYAL BIOGRAPHY

TO THE EDITOR OJ> THE PRESS. Sir, —Mr Hector Bolitho's biography of the Duke of Windsor will no doubt make interesting reading, but his comments as published in to-day's news certainly appear somewhat at variance with his previous views, which are found very forcibly expressed in his book, "Victoria, the Widow and Her Son," published June, 1934 .where he says, "The public habit of denying princes the right to human frailties is inhuman. The fierce light in which royalty lives makes one wonder why any reigning prince or heir does not abdicate, in defence of his own soul." —Yours, etc., W. I. SIMPSON. January 11, 1937.
