A MATCH TRICK

■ Match tricks are always great favourites with girls and hoys, but you must always remember to use only matches that have already been struck and which are quite “dead.” Place seven matches on the table in the position you see in the first little picture, making two’ squares joined at the centre.

Now ask a chum if he or she can make three triangles with the same matches. There must not be more or fewer than three. The second little illustration shows how it is done.
