GUESTS ARRIVE AT THE HAGUE PRINCESS JULIANA’S GOWN DESCRIBED : (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (Received January 7, 11.5 p.tn.) THE HAGUE, January 6, The Duke of Kent, accompanied by the Earl and Countess of Athlone and Major, and Lady Abel Smith, visited the Royal Palace for lunch with Queen Wilhelmina, Princess Juliana, and a large company of guests, after which they vievred the hundreds of wedding presents, among which were the Duke of Kent’s gift of a hand mirror, the frame of which is in the form of the coat of arms of the House of Orange and the arms of Queen Anne of England, and also Queen Mary’s gift of a lai'ge silver bowl. The Duchesses Woislawa and Thyra of Mecklenburg, who are among the bridesmaids, arrived this morning from Germany with only 20 marks each in their possession, this sum being the limit allowed any citizen leaving the Reich. As the guests of the Queen, however, they are unlikely to lack the comforts of sustenance. The Queen received a congratulatory telegram from Herr Hitler. The Royal procession to-morrow morning will go first to the Town Hall, where the civil ceremony will take place, and then to the Church of St. Jacob. Following the Dutch custom, Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard zur Lippe-Biesterfeld will ride together in a glass and gold coach. The Queen will follow in a crystal coach. The Royal dressmaker reveals that Princess Juliana’s wedding gown is of heavy ivory satin, cut on Greek classical lines, draped across the corsage. She will wear a Court mantle of the same material, with a train six yards long. Her long veil of white tulle, embroidered with silver roses, will be hung from a head-dress of real orange blossom, held by a diadem of diamonds forming the five-petalled rose of the House of Lippe-Biesterfeld. The bridesmaids’ gowns of heavy satin are in pastel shades of lilac, green, blue, yellow, rose, and orange-pink "to form an emblem of the ; rainbow.” Princess Juliana will wear a bracelet containing 1700 diamonds from the people of the Dutch East Indies. Prince Bernhard will wear the uniform of a famous Dutch regiment, the Blue Hussars. Princess Juliana will be attended by 12 bridesmaids. .There will also be 12 gentlemen in attendance, including Barons A. and R. von Cramm. Dr. Welter, who is aged 86, and who baptised and confirmed Princess Juliana in the same church, will perform the ceremony, which will be broadcast throughout Holland and Britain at 11 a.m. It is understood that part of the honeymoon will be spent motoring in England.
