TRIBESMEN ATTACK BRITISH TROOPS
♦ CASUALTIES IN CLASH IN INDIA (Received December 25, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 23. News received in London about further fighting in the Kaisora Valley says that a British officer and two Indian soldiers were killed and a British officer, three British and nine Indian soldiers were wounded. The tribesmen were sharply engaged and driven off. The casualties were not ascertained. The troops were marching through a defile when they were attacked by several hundred followers of the fakir of the Ipis.
