DIAMONDS WORTH £3OOO
——4 MELBOURNE WOMAN’S FIND MELBOURNE, December 24. A ./oman who recently bought a secretaire at an auction said for £7 10s, discovered in a secret drawer uncut diamonds valued at £3OOO. The drawer was found while the Woman was polishing the secretaire. The stones were wrapped in curious looking wool. It was found that the wool was of a type which is not grown in Australia, and that it was at have been sold for £3OOO. It is thought that they had been hidden in the drawer for many years, during which time the desk had changed hands several times.
