TRIBUTE BY ADMIRAL BYRD [THE PRESS Special Service ] DUNEDIN, December In a letter to P'-r R. S. Black. RearAdmiral R. E. Byrd says he has leaf nod with profounl regret of the death of Dr. L. H. Potaka. who was associated with the last Antarctic expedition Admiral Byri intimated that he wished to have some flowers placed on D: Potaka’s grave, sending money for thipurpose, and added that hr would greatly appreciate it if his wishr- v-.- r carried out. Ho asked ‘hat the f< I lowing inscription should be laid w • i the flowers:—"ln memory nf a gallant gentleman—the B id Antarctic Expedition, by Richard E. Byrd.”
