O. C. Beresford, the original “McTurk” of “Stalkcy and C 0.,” in reminiscences of “Schooldays with Kipling” refcords the interesting fact that at school the poet’s nickname Was “Digger.” He declares, also, that the book does not truly" represent Kipling’s schooldays at all.
