RUMOURED BETROTHAL DENIED
♦ BELGIAN KING ANNOYED AT CONTINUAL REPORTS (Received December 25, 9.10 p.m.) BRUSSELS, December 24. It is rumoured that the King vz Belgium is engaged to Princess Feodora Louise, niece of the King ci Denmark. King Leopold's secretary (Barm Capelie) summoned journalists to the Royal Palace and told them tha: the King was annoyed at the many reports of his intention to remarry. “All these are false and ridiculous,” he said. "Since May tne newspapers have had King Leopold engaged to six different women. Far from thinking of remarrying the King continues to carry in his heart an unmitigated anguish.”
