♦ DR. SCHACHT'S CONTENTION (Received December 23, 5.5 p.m.) ' BERLIN, December 22. Dr. Hjalmar Schacht, Nazi Minister for Economies, speaking at the Reichsbank's Christmas celebration, repeated the demand for colonies, declaring that Germany would not surrender. The future and therefore the present great political issue was whether Germany could create a space for her people in the world.
