Christmas Cookies
2-3 rd cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs (beaten) 1 tablespoon water 2 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder £ teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons cinnamon 2-3 rd cup seeded raisins 2-3 rd cup nuts (chopped) 2 tablespoons flour (for dredging nuts and raisins). Cream butter and sugar together; add the beaten eggs and waten then the flour, sifted with baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Dreage the raisins and nuts with the two tablespoons of flour and add to cookie dough. Drop by teaspoonfuls on a greased baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake In a moderate oven for 15-20 minutes. If you have an electric stove, put the cookies in when the thermometer registers 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
