LIFE-SAVING TEAMS
On all the crowded beaches of Australia voluntary life-saving clubs have teams of powerful, thoroughlytrained swimmers to be on patrol ready to save too adventurous swimmers and to advise timid ones. But these teams are not all adult ones. There are many schoolgirls' and schoolboys' teams regularly in attendance on the bigger beaches.
This is a splendid picture of such a team bringing in an unfortunate youth. Here is an example Australia is setting New Zealand; there is enough bad swimming in our breakers to make it worth while for schoolgirls and schoolboys to form strong teams to help the beaoh patrols on their work of making surf bathing safe.
