FAREWELL TO HEADMASTER AT ARANUI
A social evening was held in the Aranui School when members of the school committee, their wives and friends, met to say farewell to Mr V. Bremner, headmaster, who. has been promoted to the charge of the Springlands School. Blenheim. The evening was spent in items and community singing. Mr J. T. Dickie acted as song leader and Mrs Bremner as pianist. Mr J. T. Dickie, in presenting Mr Bremner with a token of respect, congratulated Mr Bremner upon his promotion. He regretted his departure from Aranui School and referred to the excellent results from his work, stating that in the three years of his term as headmaster there had been 100 per cent, in proficiency passes. Mr Dickie thanked Mr Bremner for the friendly way he had worked with the members of the committee. Mr Bremner thanked all for their kindness, and Mr Dickie for his appreciative references to his work in the school and the harmonious spirit that existed between the headmaster, staff, and committee.
