Day Of Intercession In London PRIMATE’S SYMPATHY WITH AIMS (rxiTEO rtIKSS AKSOCIATIOM-rOPVRHUIT.) (Received December 22, 7.50 p.m.) LONDON, December 21. The Archbishop of Canterbury (the Most Rev. Dr. Cosmo Gordon Lang) has sent a letter to the organisers of the day of united intercession and the conference to be held in the Queen’s Hall on May 11, expressing full sympathy with its aims. The Archbishop’s letter also expresses the hope “that a great company of Christian citizens may then be joined in prayer for the King in his great responsibilities and for the realm, that religion and piety may be established among us for all generations, and that by its loyalty to the rule of the Kingdom of God it may set forward the cause of peace and goodwill throughout the world.

“Such a gathering will be a most fitting way of associating the nation with the religious significance of the Coronation service.”

ROYAL COURTS IN 3937 (Received December 22, 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, December 22. The Lord Chamberlain (the Earl of Cromer) announces that applications for the Royal Courts in 1937 will open on February 1, instead of January 1, the customary date. The dates of the courts will be announced later. The King to-day gave an audience to the Archbishop of Canterbury. The King and Queen will leave London to-day for Sandringham, where they will spend Christmas.
