CHRISTMAS RUSH AT THE CHIEF POST OFFICE.—A busy scene in the mailroom, where thousands of letters and packets are handled each day. Ninety-five men, including 20 temporary employees, are engaged in the mailroom , and most of them are working from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., with short reliefs for meals.
