The Jerusalem correspondent of the "Daily Herald" says that Arab leaders are recruiting followers and speeding up the smuggling of arms, chiefly through Kaukaji, in preparation for a new campaign of terrorism. The movement is widespread m Transjordan, with the idea of overthrowing the British mandate there 8 s well as in Palestine. The Arab Higher Committee is said to have a war fund of £ 138,000, to which business men have been intimidated into making contributions.
