CARE OF RETURNED SOLDIERS
CIVIL RE-ESTABLISHMENT LEAGUE MEETS
Replying to a letter from the secretary of the Canterbury branch of the Soldiers' Civil Re-establishmenit League, asking him to receive a deputation which would object to the alterations made in the constitution of the organisation at a meeting in Wellington, the Hon. F. Jones wrote saying that he would probably be unable to receive a deputation till the new year, but if a letter were sent to him setting out the case, it would receive the same consideration. This information was received at the meeting of the branch yesterday. It was arranged that the chairman, Mr H. Holland, should write the required letter to the Minister. The clause in the constitution to which the Canterbury branch objected provided for greater control from the Wellington centre.
