PAGANISM IN HEALTH CAMPS

TO THE EDITOB Or THE PRESS Sir, —Peter Trolove wonders if anyone is bold enough to assert that the world may become better as it becomes more pagan. The only person who would dare to assert this would be the one who is totally ignorant of scientific facts. Science and religion to-day are walking hand in hand. There is a bridge between the two which would hold the weight of the world. Scientific analysis resolves all elements into a first cause, saying: “We are face to face with an infinite and eternal energy from which all things proceed and to which all things are related.” Religion says: “In God we live and breathe and have our being.” These two statements differ only in their ending. Both testify to the unity of everything in the universe—the oneness of all life with man linked with this invisible source. At a meeting of the British Biological Society, a Mr Ashton exhibited an electrical appliance which he had perfected, which registered the action of invisible life energy pouring ceaselessly into Man at incredible speed, forming tiny vortexes of energy, and throwing off electrical particles called “electrons” and “ions.” or positive and negative forces, revealing the atom — heretofore only inferred to exist —as the first transforming mould through which this invisible life flows into cells and organs of the body. Through all, and in all. is this inflowing life element, animating and informing Man. To recognise this one fact opens the mind to its inexhaustible resources and by right mental attitude, new energies

are released and adverse conditions transformed. The scientific facts refining to this energy are in accord with the teaching of the Nazarene, but how many are there to-day, making an effort to still the mind, so that the truth of the Scriptural teachings can be proved. ’ The science of the mind, or constructive psychology, is the key to man’s evolution. The Nazarene represented the pinnacle of evolution. Man steps into his true heritage when he learns to use his mind rightly. Herein lies the secret of all power against adverse conditions. A little practice will soon convince the thinker of the truth. The Scriptures call it prayer.—Yours, etc., 1 M. G. DAVIES. December 8, 1936.
