SOUTH BRIGHTON GALA
OFFICERS ELECTED AT PUBLIC MEETING
Mr J. S. Ainsworth presided at a public meeting of residents of South New Brighton, called to make arrangements for a gala to be held in the Pleasant Point Domain on New Year's Day, and held in the South Brighton Hall last evening.
The following officers were elected: Patrons, the member of Parliament for the district (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan), and the Mayor of New Brighton (Mr E. L. Smith); president, Mr J. S. Ainsworth; honorary organiser, Mr G. Duncan; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr Percy Buist; honorary auditors, Messrs R. L. Robinson and J. McGregor; honorary solicitor, Mr J. Corbett; executive, president, organiser, and sec-retary-treasurer. It was decided to devote all proceeds from the gala to improvements in the Pleasant Point Domain.
