Eugene j O’Brien, aged 44, a member of the j crew of the steamer Pakeha, pleaded | guilty to charges of drunkenness and :of wilfully damaging an umbrella valued at 6s. He was convicted and I lined 10s for drunkenness, and on the j i second charge was convicted and ord- j !ered to pay 6s. the value of the urn- ' ■ brella. i Personal , Constable S. V,. Mcßurney, who has j been stationed at Lyttelton for the last 1 12 years, has received notice of his j transfer to Denniston.
