GARDEN PARTY
MRS C. S. THOMAS’S GUESTS To give her friends an opportunity of enjoying the beauty of her garden in Innes road, Mrs C. S. Thomas held a large out-of-doors reception yesterday afternoon. The weather was perfect and the banks of lovely irises bordering the stream were a beautiful sight in the bright sunshine, while colourful rhododendrons and stately arums, mirrored in the water, were much admired. Mrs Thomas wore a smart frock ot white crepe very finely pin-striped with navy and trimmed with rouleau of the material and navy buttons, and her wide navy straw hat was trimmed with navy and white ribbons. Mrs Trevor Thomas (Ashburton), who is her guest, wore a wineberry floral crepe frock patterned in rose and biskra and a brown straw hat. Misses Helen ’Thomas. Molly Thomas, and Lvdia Gould helped the hostess in entertaining her guests, amongst whom were Mrs W. W. Dunsterville, Mrs Cyrus Williams and Miss Lucy Williams, Mrs Ronald Cuthtaert, Mrs J. R.
