SEARCH FOR MISSING LAUNCH
MR CLARK’S OFFER REFUSED (Received November 13, 12.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, November -12. The destroyer Vendetta and other searching vessels report no sign of the missing launch Viking. The Colonial Sugar Company’s ship Fiona was diverted from hei course and joined the search. The civil aviation board has advised the Minister that he would be unwise to accept Mr L. E. Clai k offer to search, as his machine is a single-engined land aeroplane and is unsuitable for a sea search. The Minister, Sir Archdale Parkhill, announed that the Air force had no available machines with sutficient range.
