APPOINTMENT OF MINISTERS’ SONS
♦ PUBLIC SERVICE PRESIDENT TO INVESTIGATE (press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, November 12. It is the intention of Mr T. Pound, of Wellington, Dominion president of the New Zealand Public Service Association, to leave for Christchurch to-night to investigate the resentment which, it has been reported, exists over the appointment of Cabinet Ministers’ sons to positions in the Public Service. Mr Pound said that from enquiries he had already made he was satisfied that the association had no cause for complaint. However, before making any statement for publication he preferred to investigate the matter in Christchurch, and he proposed leaving for Christchurch to-night. After looking into the position, he would probably make a statement for publication.
