SCHOOL SPORTS RECORDS

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS Sir, —1 am entirely in agreement with the opinion of T. A. Gresson, as expressed in "The Press this morning, that this discussion should not become personal. My one idea in starting the controversy was to draw attention to obvious inaccuracies in the hope that more care would be taken by all ot the schools in timing and checking their sports events. I feel sure that anyone who has read the whole of the letters published will agree that I had very goed grounds for my contention that many of the times recorded at school sports are inaccurate. I hope that those in control of school sports meetings will be more careful in future.—Yours, etc.. OLD ATHLETE. November 11. 1936. (Thjf correspondence is now closed. — Ed.. “The Press.”!
