Under amendments to the regulations under the Railways Act, 1926, published in the Gazette to-night. Division 1 employees in the railways are to be granted extra payment for Sunday work, the rates ranging from 2s 3d an hour to 4s an hour. Other provisions under the new regulations provide for the payment of travelling expenses, etc.
