RUGBY, October 6. The formal contract between the Croard White Star Company and the shipbuilders for the construction d the express steamship known as No, 552, the sister ship to the Queen was signed at Liverpool to4y.
John Brown, the company which construct the vessel, has moved oto position in its yard on the Clyde Jhe huge crane used in the construc■J® of the Queen Mary, and is pro?®*png with the formation of the hox for the new liner, company has already placed ® order with William Beardmore hull castings for the No. 552. JJ® 3 * castings are of exceptional pensions and consist of a cast j*®, cast steel stern frame, r™ steel shaft brackets, and cast 7®“fudder. They will be manu*®*®ed at Beardmore’s Parkhead Glasgow'. The contract is :r®fcted to be worth many thou!""®of pounds, and is one of the S** received by the firm for years.
