MAORI REMANDED ON BAIL

<rassa Association tsuoiux.) WANGANUI, October 6. .As the result of what was alleged to have been a domestic dispute between two brothers and the wile of one of them, Matthew Hill, aged 31, a Maori, was charged with attempting

to murder Alice Hill. He was remanded to appear on October 14, bail being allowed in the sum of £2OO, and two sureties of £2OO. It was alleged that a rifle was fired in a house, and that a bullet penetrated a door and went out through the rood. No one wqp Injured.
