ACCIDENTS
MOTOR-CYCLIST FATALLY INJURED
(rasas association telegram.) WELLINGTON, October 5. On the eve of his eighteenth birthday, David Harold Tolan, a printer, died in hospital from injuries received in the Kaiwarra Gorge last Thursday, when the motor-cycle he was riding collided with a bus. Tolah was an all-round athlete with a distinguished record in cricket, football, tennis, hockey, swimming and badminton.
THROWN FROM HORSE AND
KICKED
James Duncan Gibb, a young man, was thrown from a horse at the military camp at Burnham yesterday afternoon and kicked on the back by the horse. The St. John Ambulance took Gibb into the Christchurch Public Hospital, where his condition last evening was satisfactory. The extent of his injuries Was not known yesterday, and he Will undergo an X-ray examination this morning. . .
