Good clear Weather end a strong southwest wind enabled fast times to be registered in jk race conducted by the Canterbury pigeon Flying Club froth Seaeltff to Christchurch lest Saturday. The. birds were released at 10.10 a.m. by Dr. Brown and the winning bird, owned by Mr .B. Webb, dew the distance of 162 miles in anrs 64min Msec- - The following, ware the other placings;— B. Webb’s bird Np. 1842, 1261 yards a minute: F. Tippet’s bird No, 575, 1343 yards a minute; A. Bailey’s bird No. 75, 1342 yards a minute: W. Drury’s bird No. 721, 1334 yards a .minute: J. Hlslop’s bird No. ass, 1331 Vm*ds a minute: G. Robertson s bird N6. 523, 1390"yards a minute; W. Dhwln's bird No. 1«8. 1203 yards a minute; J. Barter’s bird No. 586, 1243 yards a minute. . - A special prise given by Dr, Brown was won by Mr B. Webb.
