CRICKET
to THE EDITOR OP THE PRESS. Sir,—As the cricket season is just starting, I would like, to send' out my advice and warning to schoolboys not to be bothered taking .such a useless game away from • school, with its “sides" and innings, out and in. There is more sense in being a “muddied oaf’ in the Winter. The brainy Yankees will nave none of 11. preferring baseball. King Edward is sensible. One never hears of hte making his. century or his “duck.** too, I advise boys to take up some game where they , are players and not onlookers. Some, game that i? not so dependent 'on weather conditions. Let cricket dfe the death it should have died‘years ago, along with other customs that are kept alive by sentiment. —Yours, etc., PETER TROLOVE. October sth, '1933* - *
