Stevens, who returned by the Aorangi frdm a trip abroad, discussed the prospects of the renewal of migration. He said: “Before that happens we must have assurances of co-operation from Britain and the Commonwealth Government that their monetary trade and investment policies would be such as to provide a continuous increase in the volume of profitable employment available tor both men ana money in Australia.’
